Back from Cameron Highland! Was way awesome! Super nice view, and very cold cold cold! Some of you may have know that I left on Friday night. Really close incident. My mum forgot to bring my passport, and heng enough, she found out when we're about to depart from Boon Lay. Delay-ed everybody's time. Woohoo, nice start. Way to go Mummy :) Mood was slight ruined, when I was afraid I may have to get off and go home alone and maybe indulge myself in self pity. Hahaha! We all slept in the bus, and it's super bad la ): I can't sleep well at all, even though you can adjust the seats to an almost sleeping position, it still has its own limit. Throughout the entire night, I find myself waking up MANY times with sore back and neck, so I had to switch position to ease the soreness. And waking up AGAIN to the same problems. ZZZ. I was hoping for a good night sleep in the hotel. And the mountain up to our destination is SCARY. When we first stop, I was like "hallejuah!", thinking the nightmare ride was over, the tour guide said over the mic "Okay, so this is ALMOST halfway up the hill." FML. ): But one good thing, we're going down for the oh-so-famous.... -drum rolls- STRAWBERRIES! Yeah man. Be jealous alright. All are grown right there, in that place, and that means, it's fucken fresh, AND the reason why it's famous, apart from fresh, is SWEET. Yes yes, I know you're jealous. Basically every shop I see there, sells STRAWBERRIES related stuffs! Shirts, balloon, keychain, bag, fruit itself, you name it! WOAH. Anyway, skip skip skip! We got our room, 6 of us share. There's a living room, 3 bedrooms. Awesome? Sound like it. But our hotel ain't 5 stars. THE STUPID BED HAS STAINS, AND I WONDER HOW THEY WASH THEIR STUPID SHEETS AND BLANKET AND PILLOW CASES D: Super sad to see it. And when you jump on the bed, you hear creaking. -.- Stupid TTM. The pillow, is super thin, and has a smell. Grr, another sleepless night... And! Out of 3 bathrooms, only 1 bathroom's heater is working! ): And yes, I found out in the hard way. I went into my aunt's bathroom, and checked the water. Once I'm in the shower, the heater miraculously spoiled at the exact moment I shampoo-ed me hair! GRRRRRR. FML. I had to stop myself from screaming out loud. Cameron Highland is really cold at night and in the morning alright?! ): The pasar malam was way awesome! Cheap cheap! And though almost every same individual thing can be seen selling at every other different stall! But that's why you can compare! But I have to say, their food... is so enticing and yummilicious! I couldn't finish trying EVERYTHING, but whatever I've tried is way awesome. Steam corn and sweet potato! Local products of Cameron Highlands, SUPER SWEET. And no sugar added, all natural okay?! Yes, be jealous again. There's just so many to try, 1 night ISN'T ENOUGH! Recommend, go go go! But not mentioning names, DON'T STAY AT THE HOTEL NEAREST TO THE PASAR MALAM. Super crap :/ Everything's nice, and I had a awesome time for my first trip to Cameron Highland! You guys should go, and bring more empty luggage bags to stock up on corn and sweet potatoes! :D Strawberries not allowed to be brought back to sg, coz since they're fresh, they'll all probably nua on the way to hot singapore. Oh, no pics. Coz I'm too lazy to upload, and also, the pictures all in the camera, who's with my mum! :D And I'll end the post with a phrase I'm so proud of. I BOUGHT A SMALL CACTUS HOME. (alright, maybe I'll post pictures of the cactus next time, when the flower blooms! :D) |
